Amazing

Hey everyone! I hope this finds each of you well and in great spirits. This past weekend was amazing. The response to our non-band worship has been very positive and I know I am excited about doing more of it in the future. If any of you would like to give us feedback about our non-band worship night I know we would welcome it. We are always trying to improve and better ourselves and your feedback has a huge impact on that. Here are a few things that you need to know about this coming weekend.

1) Teaching Details - This coming weekend Scott will be out of town so I will be finishing our series "Listen." I know that I feel a huge responsibility to continue to teach our students what it means to engage God in their daily lives. Our students are so busy and sometimes out of control that their relationship with God suffers. This coming weekend at One we are going to talk about the next s tep and put the question in front of them of "What are you going do?"

2) Prayer Request - This weekend has the potential to be a huge starting point for many of our students. Some of them will be affirmed and some of them will be challenged. I would like to ask each of you to specifically pray for each student in your group that this weekend would be a source of encouragement and empowerment. I would also ask for you to pray for me in my preparation and act of teaching this weekend. This will be something that I have not done in awhile and I am little nervous. I would really appreciate your prayers for both of these things.

3) Wired for Worship Blog Experience - We are still have slots available for people to write for our Wired for Worship Blog experience and we would love to have everyone who wants to participate get involved. If you would like more details on this o pportunity please let me know and I will be happy to give you some more information.

That is all I have for now. Later this week you will be getting small group questions for this coming Sunday. If there is anything I can help you with or pray for you about please let me know and I will do what I can. Thank you, thank you, thank you for investing in the lives of these students. I feel highly honored to work with such a great group of people. All of you are amazing! Have a great day! - Evo

What an investment

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a great Monday so far. Last night was great. Scott and I appreciate so much how each of you personally invests in the lives of your students. You may not see the wheels turning, but just know that good things are happening. Here are just a few things that you need to know about.

1) SGL Training - As you all know, we have SGL Training on the 31st of this month. We would like for you to RSVP for the training. We have some great stuff planned and we want to make sure we know who is going to be there. You can RSVP by shooting an email to either Scott or me. If you send me an email and it is bounced back to you please forward that rejection email to Scott so we can pass it along to our tech team for analysis.

2) Mid-Year SGL Survey - It is back up and ready. Please take just two minutes a nd fill out the survey. You can get to it by going to the right-hand side of this blog where there is a section titled "Surveys & Evaluations." In that section you should click the item titled "Mid-Year SGL Survey." Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback and I apologize that there have been so many issues with this survey.

3) Setup & Tear down Help - This coming Sunday we are in need of four to five people to help us with the setup and tear down for our "Non-Band Worship." We will need for the setup team to arrive around 5:30 pm and then for the tear down team to stick around after small groups until around 9:45 pm. We will try and make tear down go as quickly as possible. Anyone that would like to help can simply respond to this email and let me know you will be here. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

4) Wired for Worship Blog Experience - The last two weekends you have heard about our upcoming blog experience for our students. We would love to have any of you who are interested involved in the writing experience for the blog. If you would like to be involved please email me and tell me what Psalm you would like to write and we will place you on the calendar. All you need is between 200 and 300 words for your entry. If you have any quesitons please let me know and I will be happy to help.

5) Seven Checkpoint Devotionals - This past Sunday Scott told all of our students about an online devotional that they could engage in that is based on the Seven Checkpoints. We would like to make this available to you so you can walk along side any of your students who might be interested in these devotions. You can get to the devotions by going to the "helpful links" section on the rigth-hand side of this blog and clicking on "7 Checkpoint Devos." That should take you to the main page where you will want to then click on the option that says "Login Page." If you are in need of the username and password please shoot me an email and I will be happy to give it to you.

Wow! Thank you for taking the time to make it to the end. That was a lot of information and I hope that it was helpful to you in role as a small group leader. Please if you have any questions let me know and I will be happy to help. Later this week you will get another email with the questions for this coming weekend. Thanks again for taking the time to invest in the lives of student. Have a great week! - Evo

Another Great Weekend!

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for being there last night. It was a great start to our series "Listen." I heard from quite a few of you that your small groups time went well. It is my hope this that this series will help our students to make space where they can slow down and engage our creator on a personal level.

Our students have so many demands on their lives and they are crying out for someone to swoop in and save them from this fast paced world. You, as a Small Group Leader (SGL) have the opportunity to swoop in and be save them. I know that sounds like a huge burden, but it is so simple and so light weight. All you have to do is care for them... that's it... It is as easy as "Hey, how is your day going?" Just care for them, that is all they want. Thank you so much for the time you put into the lives of these students. You are changing the w orld one student at a time through the care and friendships you build with them.

Here are two things that you need to know about...
1) SGL Survey - We have posted a survey for you to fill out and you can get to by going to the right hand side of this blog to the section titled "Survey's & Evalations." In that section click the item titled "Mid-Year SLG Survey." We have only had two people fill this out this survey and I promise that it will only take a minute or two to fill it out. This will really help us to see how we are doing in our training and support of you as a SGL.

2) Later this week I will be out of the office for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If you email or call me it might take me a day or two to get back with you, but I will get back with you. Scott will be sending out the Small Group Questions later this w eek. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

That is it! Sorry that there are a lot of words to read in this message. If you have any question or concerns please let me know and I will help in any way that I can. Have a great week!

Till All Have Heard,
Evan

You can get to the survey by going again to the right-hand side of this blog and there is a section titled "Survey's & Evaluations" and you should click the item that says "Mid-Year SGL Survey."
